Hi. I am Pastor Bob Scheurer, the pastor of Zion Lutheran Church and St. Paul Lutheran Church. I have been in the ministry in the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America since 2008 and serving Zion and St. Paul since 2012. (Zion and St. Paul are member churches of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America)
I received my B.A. from Thopmas Edison State College in Trenton, New Jersey in 2000 and a Masters of Divinity Degree from The Lutheran Theological Seminary at Philadelphia in 2006. In 2011, I completed Level II of Clinical Pastoral Education. I am a second career pastor, who in the first half of my work life worked as a Mechanical Inspector in the family’s Tool and Die/Job Shop. I am married to Diane, my spouse, for 13 years. Before coming to Iowa, I served as associate pastor at a 6 congregation Geo-parish and third time as a chaplain at the local nursing home in North Dakota. I served on the board of Concordia College in Moorhead, Minnesota and the Nomination Committee of the Eastern North Dakota Synod. I have been a chaplain of the North Iowa Detachment of the Marine Corps League, and have also served the Northeastern Iowa Synod as a member of the Nomination Committee. I am honored to be able to serve the people of both Zion and St. Paul Lutheran Churches, during this chapter of their life of faith and ministry. Both Zion and St. Paul have different things to offer. I invite to come visit both of the churches and see which one is a better fit for you. Please consider becoming part of one of these communities of believers. It will make a difference in your life. Robert (Bob) A. Scheurer, Pastor |
